Eldercare Services & Medical Alert Bracelets
With our technology, help is only a button push away
As they age, many seniors opt for either professional eldercare services or assistance from family members, which allows them to keep their independence and safely remain in the comfort of their home. However, even when they get the help they need to continue their routine, they may need to stay home alone from time to time. A professional caregiver may provide services several hours per day or a couple of times per week. Similarly, family members may often need to attend to other responsibilities or just leave the home to run errands. During these times when you parent is home alone, you may be worried about their safety.
Unfortunately, accidents and health emergencies can occur when we least expect them, so it is important to be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances and situations. At Comfort Keepers eldercare services, we have a solution that can allow your loved one to call for help whenever they need it and receive appropriate assistance within minutes. This solution is called Personal Emergency Response System or PERS. PERS is a tabletop console that is connected to our Central Monitoring Station, which is equipped with expert staff non-stop. To enable seniors to freely move around their home and yard, PERS also comes with a medical alert bracelet. In case of any type of emergency, your loved one only has to press the button on their bracelet and help will arrive as soon as humanly possible.
Medical alert bracelets allow for two-way communication with our experienced staff at the station. Our emergency operators will determine the cause of the call and notify appropriate channels immediately. They can call emergency services, such as medics or the police, your loved one's eldercare provider or closest neighbor, depending on the situation. An emergency operator will stay on the line with your loved one until someone comes to their home to provide assistance.
Medical alert bracelets are becoming more and more popular due to their stylish design and extreme ease of use. They are barely noticeable, so your loved one doesn't have to tell anyone they are wearing one. Most models are also waterproof, so your parent doesn't have to take their bracelet off when they are showering or bathing. With a medical alert bracelet, your loved one can enjoy freedom at home and go about their daily tasks carefree, knowing that if something unexpected were to happen, they can talk to trained professionals within seconds. To put it simply, with a medical alert bracelet, your loved one is never really alone.
As there are many models of PERS, one of our friendly eldercare experts will gladly answer all your questions about this type of device and provide a free in-home presentation of our products. This way, you and your loved one can see how they work and choose a model that is just right for your parent's needs. For more information or to schedule your presentation, please give us a call today at (814) 283-6162. We are happy to be of service!
