Proudly Serving the State College Community Since 2004
Owners David Hellyer and Terri Breindel have been residents of State College for decades. The combination of Terri’s engineering background and David’s business skills joined to create the best in home services solutions for seniors. The need for senior care services makes Comfort Keepers role in this community a vital one.
Non-Medical Senior Care Services in State College
Our services range from personal care to companionship and meal preparation to transportation. In all cases, our senior care services embody our philosophy of “Interactive Caregiving”. This focuses on 4 interrelated areas of care; the mind and body along with nutrition and safety.
All of our services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They can include, as little as, a few hours a week to, as much as, round the clock long term care. We also offer respite care for those family members or friends that just need a little break.
At Comfort Keepers, our caregivers provide the gentle and effective care that ensures our clients and their families can rest easier. We take pride in providing this care because we know how difficult finding reliable care for our loved ones can be.
Involvement In the Community
For us, being involved in the community comes naturally. Not only through the senior care services we provide, but also through programs like our Stop Senior Hunger program. Through this program we, along with other local businesses, collect thousands of pounds of food for the local food banks. David is also a founding member of the Centre County Senior Center Coalition. This group helps fund services throughout the communities of Centre County.
Who We Serve
We are members of the Pennsylvania Waiver Program, which means we accept the aging waiver as well as the under-60 waiver. We also partner with local organizations such as Mt. Nittany Medical Center and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center. Working together to provide transitional care or even to just get to their appointments safely. Providing short term and long term care to the residents of Centre County is our goal.
Finding reliable care can sometimes be difficult. We at Comfort Keepers are happy to make that process a little easier. As our office continues to grow we look forward to providing our services to more residents of Centre County.
